Come and hear four experienced speakers talk about why climate change is the most serious issue facing humankind and how we as a community can work to avoid dangerous climate change and how we will achieve this goal.
Topics include: what the current effects of climate change are, what the science community is saying, how we can move Victoria's stationary energy sector (55% of our emissions) from brown coal to renewables, a near zero emissions transport sector, issues of modern food production, role of natural sequestration, forest and carbon sinks, decline of the Amazon, the threat of fire in the Australian. And what kind of grassroots community action can do the most to effect positive change locally, nationally and globally.
