Sustainable Energy Now's WA power grid simulation software

Sustainable Energy Now (SEN) is a WA based non-profit organisation promoting the potential of existing renewable energy technologies. Chris Dickinson, Secretary of SEN, argues, “There is a huge need for a specific, costed plan from the renewable side of the debate.”
The role of renewable energy in decarbonising the Australian economy is critical. Australia is well placed for this transition because of its large supply of renewable energy resources. Despite this, political debate often stresses the so-called ‘limitation of existing renewable energies’ whilst heralding measures such as CCS.
Come along to hear Chris describe the work of SEN and the development of a WA power grid software simulation that demonstrates how the grid has the potential to operate entirely from sustainable sources.
