IT MAKES little difference if homes are meeting their five-star energy efficiency requirements. They will still spew thousands of tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year.

The British Government has legislated that all homes must have zero emissions on heating and cooling by 2016. Homes achieving this rating will be exempt from stamp duty. Thousands of experts around the world warn we have less than 10 years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to protect humanity. Victorians should demand that the Bracks Government follows Britain's lead.
