Environment movement failing on climate change: Ken Ward
Many mainstream US green organisations have failed the environment by supporting the American Clean Energy and Security Act (aka the climate and energy bill). Ken Ward offers 9 reasons why some U.S. environmentalists should heartily oppose the climate and energy bill.
Ken Ward is a former Executive Director of the New Jersey Public Interest Research Group, the Rhode Island Public Interest Research Group and a former Deputy Director of Greenpeace USA. He co-founded Green Corps, the National Environmental Law Center, the U.S. Public Interest Research Group and the Fund for Public Interest Research. He is author of the Bright Lines papers, a critique of US environmentalists’ failed climate program.
Ken, and his partner Andrée, is also rehabbing an abandonded, 100 year old former corner store to meet passivhaus standards.
