Volunteer with BZE

We have a variety of volunteer positions available, suited to different levels of skill and interest.

1. Campaign

Campaigner

Join the campaign team and help create the change we need to save the planet.

Campaign Assistant

Work directly with an experience BZE campaigner. Learn on the job and support the work they are doing, taken on projects.

Leafleters

Help the Zero Emission Minus campaign by volunteering to put leaflets out.

We are looking for people in all areas with priority in inner city suburbs such as Melbourne, Brunswick, Collingwood, Kensington and Richmond.

2. Campaign Support

Vital jobs that need to be done to keep the campaign going.

Newsletter Editor / Layout

Put together our monthly newsletter.

Basic computer and English skills needed. Can work from our office or home.

FULL - Website Updater - FULL

Update and revamp existing website and research material for new content.

Basic computer skills needed. Can work from our office or home.

Successful applicant will be trained in basic editing of web pages.

Grant Application Writer / Fundraiser

Research and write grant applications and / or conduct activities to raise money to fund BZE activities.

Experience preferred but not necessary

Will work with BZE coordinator to develop focus of applications.

3. Outreach

Public Speakers

Give and/or organise presentations on climate change and the solutions.

Enthusiasm for the topic and a basic quality of presentation skills needed.

Successful applicants will be trained in the delivery of our presentations, use of key messages and the science and logic on which they are based.

Stall Coordinator

Organise and run stalls in various parts of Melbourne.

Good people skills and organisational skills required.

Successful applicants will be trained in presentation of key messages to the public, and the science and logic on which those messages are based.

Stall Helpers

Support a stall coordinator on the day of holding a stall.

Reasonable people skills.

Successful applicants will be trained in presentation of key messages to communicate with public and the science and logic on which they are based.

4. Research

Research one or more topics related to the goal of Zero Emissions Minus. Contribute or prepare report and briefings on these topics.

Basic research and report writing skills needed.

Successful applicants will join our research team.

5. Projects

Special discrete projects to support the Zero Minus campaign

Conference Team

Coordinate and help organise one of the world's first zero emission conferences to be held in late April.

Good people, team, priority-setting and organisational skills required.

Network Development Officer

Help grow and promote the Zero Emission Network.

Good people skills required.

Successful applicant will be trained in the background to the Zero Emission Campaign, its goals and philosophy.
